A Beautiful Mess DIY Circular Mat

After seeing this post on A beautiful mess i googled every possible search word to find out if i could buy a similar rug like this anywhere but i couldnt find anything. I decided to buy some wool and try my hand at making one and i think it turned out quite well. The steps on how to make it were really easy to follow and although i chose to keep the colours as close to the orginal as possible you could use any colours you would like. I bought the wool from The wool warehouse they have so much choice in colours and thickness and the prices are really cheap depending on what you want, all of my wool came to around £17 with postage. The pom pom trim i got from hobbycraft, i havent linked the site because you can only buy from store but its £2 per metre. Anyway, im really happy with it, i might try and make another one but a little bigger.

Happy Thursday.

Start of Summer...

Kimono - forever 21
dress - h&m
cuff - primark
bag - river island

It's soo sunny again today, i'm so bored though, there's nothing to do! All of my friends are either at work or at uni, this reading week is the most boring week of my life! All im doing today is picking my brother up from school, i might take him to the shop's just to get out in this warmness, buy him a tip-top ;)

I love this kimono, it's really light and can be worn with anything because it's cream, i'm thinking this could be my airport outfit when i go to Cyprus, but there's a massive possibility this will change because it's not until the end of June! Clothes everywhere recently though are not doing anything for me, which is good because iv'e banned myself from buying anything!

Summer's in the air and baby, Heaven's in your eyes.

dress - h&m
belt - primark
kimono - river island
bag - ebay
necklace - topshop
rings - topshop, h&m
bracelets - new look, ebay

Went to Stratford to make the most of the sun, being British and all. This is what i wore, i took a leather jacket aswell, the accessorize in stratford has some beaaaautiful things in it i had to stop myself from buying them, but i probably will next time i'm in the bullring. The one thing that i was gonna buy, this red string bracelet with initials on, which was so cuteee, they didn't have a J! Also i wasn't happy because the boat man wasn't there so we couldn't hire a boat for an hour :( instead we went to the pub and had a kopparberg, went to magic alley an looked at the spells, had a milkshake from moo moo's which you should definitly try if you go to Stratford any time soon, they have about 548768976 different flavours for example, cherry drop milkshake, rhubarb and custard, wham bar, and jamaican gingerbread!? And we looked at the year round christmas shop, it was sooo cute! and it was a bit like being in a christmas carol because the buildings are so old fashioned and small. Decided to go to Solihull on the way home to get a juicy cocktail from Tgi Fridays and some sesame chicken strips because they are SO good. nom

Band of gypsies

band of gypsies @ ASOS £14 in the sale
ASOS £25
River island £8!! in the sale from £60
same jacket - back view
Primark £12
ASOS £15
ASOS £15
River island £30
Bought these a couple of weeks ago, i love the band of gypsies kimono because its pink, paisley and has fringing, can't wait to wear it when it get's warmer, the cream crotchet tunic is so good for £25, can be worn with tights, leggings or shorts, i bought it in a bigger size though so it's long enough for a dress! The river island kimono i found in the Bullring, i bought it because it was £8, it would have been rude not to! I NEVER go into the Bullring river island either because it's awful, it's too busy and there's too many scary women in there. The cardigan is a bargain, £12, i love the colour it's really spring/summery and i always wear black/white/grey so it just makes a plain outfit colourful, i got it from the Wolverhampton Primark, i refuse to go to the Birmingham one it's always a mess, the Wolverhampton and Coventry ones are much much nicer. All three clutches are from ASOS, i LOVE them, especially the mint green, can't wait to take them on holiday, i love the way they look with a plain black dress.

last semester...

 Knitted dress:Topshop, Fringe Jacket:Topshop, Leather Jacket:H&M, Bag:Ebay

This is just what i threw on for uni today, partly because i couldn't be bothered to iron anything and partly because i LOVE this fringe jacket. I got the jacket last year it was about £50 but i only wore it once! due to a very drunk friend of mine being sick next to me in a taxi whilst i was wearing it, after i got it cleaned i just forgot about it and it went to the back of my wardrobe. I reaaallly want the sun to come out so i can wear all my of new kimonos i seem to have bought lately and not freeze to death. Also i know my pictures are rubbish but it's too much effort setting my camera up, also i find it cringey posing for photos on my own AND i would of been late for my lecture!

Who's that girl? Who's that girl? It's Jess ;)

Lot's of love for fringe and kimonos...
fringe jacket: river island, shorts: river island, tee: h&m, necklace: topshop, cuff: primark, boots:ebay

I bought this kimono from asos for £43! instead of £60, the very next day i went to Wolverhampton to give an assignment into uni, it was pouring down with rain so i went into every shop on the highstreet to avoid getting soaked. I went into River Island to get these shorts and i came across THE jacket in the sale with a £25 tag on it so i thought ill buy it and send the asos one back, to make the saving even better...when i got to the till it had gone down again to £10!!! BEST DAY EVER.
